Building Improvement Grant Program
The Elkhorn Economic Development Alliance (EEDA) and the City of Elkhorn have partnered to offer grant funding assistance to commercial and retail property owner and their tenants for building improvements that will promote commercial use, job creation, and reduce the number of vacant buildings in downtown Elkhorn. Applicants may be eligible for grants up to $25,000 depending on the nature of the proposed work and the building location. This competitive grant program is designed to restore the structural integrity, longevity, and commercial viability of properties located exclusively within downtown Elkhorn. The total funding amount available each calendar year will be allocated by the City of Elkhorn through its annual budget. Once available funds have been expended, prospective grantees must wait until the following year to apply.
